Common Faults and Maintenance of Multifunctional Cookers
August 03,2022
Multifunctional cookers are favored by people because of their beauty, convenience, practicality, and low power consumption. However, it often happens that their service life is shortened due to improper maintenance.
The following are common faults of multifunctional cookers:
Fault 1. Poor cooking; Not stewed after cooking; Cook burnt rice
Cause: there is a foreign matter between the electric heating plate and the inner pot;
Deformation of electric heating plate or inner pot;
Poor magnetic steel; (mechanical cooker) poor microswitch; (mechanical cooker) temperature controller or circuit board failure;
Poor action of magnetic steel lever; (mechanical cooker) poor microswitch; (mechanical cooker) the magnetic steel is poor or the main temperature controller is damaged;
The bimetallic sheet has poor action;
The circuit board is damaged; (electronic computer cooker) coating damage.
Fault 2. Cooked rice (porridge) overflows
Cause: large deviation in the placement of meter water volume.
Some products have poor spill resistance.
Fault 3. Poor porridge cooking effect
Cause: the temperature switch (YNB) is poor or disconnected in a hot state.
Fault 4. Fuse burning
Cause: poor heat transfer caused by deformation and hanging of the inner pot.
Foreign matters at the bottom of the pot and the electric heating plate cause poor heat transfer.
Note: during the use of cooker products, the inner pot and electric heating plate are easy to deform or there are sundries between the electric heating plate and the inner pot, which makes the radian of the inner pot and the electric heating plate inconsistent, resulting in poor heat transfer. Therefore, in case of faults such as undercooking, burning insurance, and melting of the electric heating plate, first check whether the inner pot and electric heating plate are deformed, resulting in poor heat transfer. Instead, you can't replace the thermostat, fuse, and hot plate just by the fault phenomenon, which will cause the fault to reappear.
Maintenance of multifunctional cooker
There are many details about the maintenance of electric cookers. To reasonably use and maintain electric cookers to prolong their service life, the following points should be paid attention to:
- After use, after washing the inner pot, the water on the outside must be wiped dry before putting it into the electric cooker.
- The bottom of the pot should avoid collision and deformation. After deformation, the bottom and the electric heating plate cannot match well. When cooking, the heating is uneven, and it is easy to cook uncooked rice.
- The space between the heating plate and the inner pot must be kept clean. Do not let rice particles fall into it, which will affect the thermal efficiency or even damage the heating plate.
- Detergent can be used for the inner pot, but the shell and heating plate must not be soaked in water, and can only be wiped with a wet cloth after cutting off the power supply.
- It is not suitable to cook acid and alkali foods, and do not put them in places with corrosive gases or humidity, because the inner tank of electric cookers is made of aluminum. Cooking acid and alkali foods with it will cause the inner tank to be eroded and easy to be damaged.
- When using, put the cooked food into the pot first, cover the pot, and then plug in the power plug. Before taking out the food, unplug the power plug to ensure safety.
- Do not connect the power plug of the electric cooker to the lamp holder or the power distribution socket of the table lamp. Because the wires of the general desk lamp are thin, the current carrying capacity is small, and it is easy to age or melt in case of heat, while the power of the electric cooker is large, and the current is also large, which will make the lamp wire hot, causing electric shock, fire, and other accidents.
