Material types of cooker liner

 

At present, the main materials for making the inner liner of cookers are aluminum, stainless steel, composite multilayer materials, and ceramics (purple sand).

 

Aluminum liner

 

Aluminum has uniform heat conduction, easy forming, and a beautiful appearance. It can be compounded with other metals or alloys. It is the main material of medium-sized cooking utensils. However, the aluminum liner cannot be in direct contact with food, and the surface must be protected.

 

Most of the aluminum plates used to make the liner are 3003 aluminum plates. Ordinary 3L and 4L cookers use plates with a thickness of 1.5-1.6mm, and 5L and 6L cookers use plates with a thickness of 1.8-2.2mm.

 

Thinning and stretching technology is often used in the manufacture of the aluminum liner, which can maintain the necessary thickness of the edge and bottom of the pot. On the premise of saving materials, the liner looks thicker.

 

Stainless steel liner

 

The best stainless steel liner is made of a 304 plate. 304 stainless steel has excellent rust resistance and intergranular corrosion resistance. Generally, about 0.5 plates are used for 4L liner, and about 0.8 plates are used for 5L and 6L liner. The slightly inferior first-class stainless steel liner will be processed with 202 plates, and the rust prevention ability of 202 plates is slightly worse than that of 304 plates. The lower-end stainless steel liner is made of 201 plates. Since the amount of harmful metals dissolved from 201 stainless steel that can be purchased in China at present is generally difficult to meet the national sanitary standards for stainless steel tableware containers, cookers with very low price stainless steel liners must be carefully selected.

 

Stainless steel liner can be used directly without surface treatment. However, the surface of stainless steel is less sticky, especially when cooking, it is easy to stick to the pot.

 

Composite multilayer material liner

 

The composite multilayer material liner is processed from a variety of materials, which can be divided into the following types:

 

  1. The inner surface of the composite plate liner with two layers of outer aluminum and inner steel ("steel" refers to stainless steel) is stainless steel, which not only meets the requirement that the inner surface is stainless steel but also improves the thermal conductivity of stainless steel by using the overall soaking effect of aluminum.

 

  1. The inner wall of the inner liner is aluminum, and the outer layer is stainless steel. The surface of the inner layer of aluminum cannot directly contact with food, so it needs to be treated with performance protection to ensure food hygiene and improve nonstickiness.

 

  1. The steel aluminum steel three-layer composite liner is made of stainless steel inside and outside, with an aluminum interlayer in the middle. Because the inner wall of the liner is made of stainless steel, the surface of the liner does not need to be protected anymore. The liner is coated with pure copper to further improve the thermal conductivity. There are also hollow layers added to composite multilayer materials to reduce heat loss to the outside and save energy when IH heating the inner layer, but the induction layer must be on the inner surface of the hollow layer. In addition, glass microspheres or ceramic microspheres can be applied to the external coating for heat insulation treatment, to reduce the loss of heat to the outside and save energy.

 

Ceramic (purple sand) liner

 

Purple sand belongs to pottery and is a safe inorganic material. The liner made of purple rice is rich in natural iron and zinc, calcium, and other trace elements beneficial to human health. The cooked food tastes good, and the surface is super hard and wear-resistant, acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance are strong, and the heat preservation performance is good.
